Easter Limited Release - Hot Cross Bun

This is still a classic OCHO block, with all the signature strength in the chocolate itself. Additionally the spices and fruit flavours add a welcome warmth and evoke the scents of easter. To make it 6 stars, I'd suggest actually reducing the spices a little - they can lend a very, very slightly gritty texture - and maybe adding a little salt to suggest to the mind salted butter on a hot bun.

This chocolate is so good! The flavour of hot cross bun really comes through. I'm not usually a fan of darker chocolate, but I would definitely buy this again! :)

I really enjoyed my two OCHO bars of chocolate recently. They had such a deep rich flavour and were very satisfying. The limited edition hot crossed bun bar is the only chocolate of that flavour that I think tastes so good that it could be a staple product instead of a novelty, and the peppermint bar was delightfully minty while still allowing the deep smooth dark chocolate to be the hero. I love your products, including your Kawakawa bar and your chili hot chocolate mix, which are similarly very satisfying and delectable experiences. Keep it up!
